Puppy Chow Recipe

The other day, I was watching an episode of Cupcake Wars.  One of the contestants decided to put Puppy Chow on the top of her cupcake, and none of the judges had heard of it and were amazed at her creativity with the dish.  I couldn't believe none of these "sweets specialists" had heard of this delicious snack, so I decided to make some so I'd be doing my part to spread the word about the chocolate-peanut buttery wonder.

To make puppy chow, all you need is:

9 cups Chex cereal (corn)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1.5 - 2 cups powdered sugar

Now, melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat.  Add peanut butter and mix until smooth.

Remove from heat.  Add Chex mix and stir gently until completely covered.

Pour powdered sugar into a gallon sized plastic bag.  Add coated Chex and shake until well coated.

Store in an airtight container.

A friend was confused with the name of this snack - make sure you do not feed this to dogs!  It's a "people snack"...just with a puppy name.  :)

for fantastic recipes, cake how-to's, and diy projects!

On a different subject - I was trying to email you but I don't see a link. I nominated you for a Liebster Award because I really love your blog. Here's what I wrote..."Before you read my list of nominees - let me say...I've been following these blogs and they are truly amazing. I hope you'll become a new follower also. They continually uplift me and share their lives with their readers. To my nominees - thank you for your time and your words. Please take this nomination as the compliment it's meant to be. Please feel free to continue passing the nomination forward or not - it's totally up to you."

Please don't feel pressure to nominate others or answers the questions I gave. I do love your blog and it really is a compliment from me.

    Thanks!
