My New Job!

As you (may have?) noticed, I've been a little more MIA here on the blog this last week.  It's been bananas guys.  We had a pretty full fall planned already, which was quickly taken up a notch with a new development on the job front for me,  That's right...I'll be starting a fabulous new job in a week and a half, and I am so excited!

As of October 21st, I'll be the Community Manager at WorldOne/Sermo.com.  What is Sermo, you may ask?  It's an online community of over 200,000 physicians - started by doctors for doctors.  They can connect with colleagues, access relevant articles, take surveys, and (my favorite) present and collaborate on tough patient cases.  This means that instead of just collaborating with physicians in their geographic area, they can present tough cases (and upload scans, labs, etc) and get the opinion of 1 out of every 3 doctors in the country.  Can you imagine the possibilities?  And I've been tasked with keeping the community active, engaged, and supportive.  To say I'm excited is an understatement!

Check out this short documentary about how Floating Doctors is using Sermo - it's pretty amazing.

Don't you hope your doctor is a member?
