New Link Party!

Guys…I’ve got some exciting news!  A few weeks ago, longtime “real life” (AND blogging) friend Courtney and I started chatting about how we could partner together with our blogs.  Courtney is the person who inspired me to start blogging about a year ago (so you all can either thank or blame her), so I was excited to “take the next blogging step” with her.  We’re starting a link party! 

One of my favorite things about blogging has been getting to know so many fantastic people I never would have met otherwise.  What a fantastic network of inspiring, creative, hilarious people!  That’s why we decided to call our link up “Tell UsTuesday” – no matter what you blog about, we want to hear from you!  We want you to tell us:

What you’ve been cookin’ lately…

The funny thing your kid said…

What’s really grinding your nerves…

About the beautiful thing you just made…

Your fantastic family vacation…

…Share whatever you’d like!

The first link-up will take place Tuesday, August 6^th, so keep your eyes peeled!

Google Reader's Gone - Follow me on Bloglovin or Feedly!

Ok ladies and gents...it's finally happening.  This Monday Google Reader is officially going away.  There's a lot of confusion out there about whether it's just google reader...or if it's also GFC...and does google reader power the dashboard where you read your blogs?  I guess we'll all find out Monday.  One of the bloggers I follow bets GFC will stay put - I hope she's right.  In case she isn't...

I'm pretty bummed about reader leaving (along with the rest of the blogging community) and have spent some time checking out some of the other reader platforms in the last week.  I haven't LOVED anything yet but was planning on going with Bloglovin until this morning.  My main beef with Bloglovin is 1) it's taken me a huge amount of time to add all the blogs I follow to my account (and I'm only halfway done), and 2) I'm not a huge fan of the layout. 

This morning I happened upon a Boston.com article that mentioned one of their favorite reader websites, Feedly.com, in their article "Life After Google Reader".  Maybe this is old news to everyone else, but I'm kinda lovin Feedly so far.  It was insanely easy to transfer all of the blogs I follow from my Google Reader feed.  It literally took two clicks and a 15 second wait before my morning feed was up on their website.  You can also pick the reader layout you'd like - 1) article titles only, 2) small pictures with title and intro, 3) "card view" - kind of a Pinterest look, or 4) you can view the entire article on the page.  If the rest of the site is as user friendly as the set-up, I'm ditching Bloglovin for this baby.

Sweet Husband and 100 Blogs

Yesterday marked my 100th blog here on Much Ado.  That's a lot of bloggin for such a short time.  I've had a lot of fun recording what we do, eat, make, and experience, so I hope you've had fun reading!

Today's blog is going to be short - the main purpose of it being to tell you how awesome my husband is.  The last few days have been pretty rotten at work, so he decided to help me celebrate something fun - my 100 blog milestone.  As I was up to my eyeballs in work, in walks husband with a cake and bright, polka dotted balloons from Party Favors in Brookline.  Such a fun surprise!

Isn't he just the best?  Everybody needs a Travis.  :)
